BSW took the opportunity of a full house at last Saturday's concert to launch an innovative scheme enabling audience members and other interested individuals to play their part in the commissioning of new music from British composers.

As one of the leading wind ensembles in the UK, BSW is proud to help create and perform new works for symphonic wind orchestra. Works such as The Canticle of the Sun by Martin Ellerby, Divertimento for Band by Guy Woolfenden and Shakespeare Pictures by Nigel Hess have all been commissioned by BSW and are now performed by wind orchestras worldwide.

By making a donation of £25, £50 or £100+ individuals can help fund new works to be premiered by BSW and which could become part of the wind orchestra repertoire. In return, donors will be credited in the score of the new work and may enjoy benefits such as a copy of the front page of the score signed by the composer and the exciting opportunity to see the work that they’ve helped create in rehearsal.

As a registered charity, Full Score! now allows individuals to support both BSW and British music in a unique and rewarding way.
