As an alternative to presenting a concert prior to Easter this year, BSW have undertaken a series of intensive rehearsals led by guest conductor Duncan Stubbs (ex. Principal Director of Music: RAF Music Services).
The culmination of these sessions will be on Saturday 29 March, when BSW are joined by solo clarinettist Linda Merrick (Principal: Royal Northern College of Music) to perform and record two Clarinet Concertos, both of which she commissioned a few years ago.
Both composers (Martin Ellerby and Philip Sparke) intend to be present for this unique occasion which will add heightened excitement to the day.
